(Erase the Racism from our Language)

Spot made ​​by the Afro-Uruguayan Cultural House featuring cultural, political and sporting personalities from Uruguay. The goal: collect signatures through to send a letter asking the Royal Spanish Academy to remove the term “Working as a black” in the dictionary. In Uruguay, the black population is 10% and has been active protagonist of the country’s life forever. Yet even today racial discriminated continues against people of African descent. One is the area of ​​employment, where the Afro-Uruguayans often are relegated to roles and tasks of low pay and social status.
