Prime Latino Media Salon returns to Casa Mezcal TONIGHT, November 14th!

2012 has been declared the “Year of the Latina” and will showcase stellar Latinas behind or in front of the camera and Latinos who present Latinas in positive and affirming roles.

New York’s only monthly series for Latino multimedia-makers & actors, Prime Latino Media Salon is a forum for Latinos and their supporters to connect and sustain one another in English and Spanish-language media, as well as featuring conversations with industry thought-leaders and screening projects.

Networking & Cash Bar: 6:30-7:30PM and all night long

8 PM: A fireside chat by Tio Louie with Carmen Oquendo-Villar, director of documentary short film, La Aguja (The Needle), which follows José Quiñones who deals both treatment and advice to his largely LGBT clientele From a clandestine cosmetic clinic in his modest home in Puerto Rico. The Needle will premiere on Thursday, November 15th under the “Portraits” section at 9:45PM at DOCS NYC Festival: 

8:30-10PM: Latino Media Video Slam: Producers & Directors share samples of their finished projects or works-in-progress.
